SUGAR-TAF Donates Equipment Worth Shs187M to ACD
Part of the equipment donated by SUGAR-TUF to Anti-Corruption Division

While the Strengthening Uganda's Anti-Corruption Response Technical Advisory Facility(SUGAR-TAF) is winding up, it has continued to deliver on its promise to strengthen the Anti-Corruption Division of the High Court by donating an assortment ofcourt recording equipment valued $50325.82 (186,281,448.56).

The equipment which comprised four laptops, (HP) Probook 450G7, six mixers, two sets of desktops computer (Dell) Optiplex 7070 MT and 49 Gooseneck microphones,was received by the ACD Deputy Registrar, HW Susan Kanyange on Wednesday (July 8, 2020). HW Kanyange extended the Court's gratitude to SUGAR-TAF leadership.

She said the equipment was requested for by the ACD Head, Justice Lawrence Gidudu, to support automation of Court proceedings at the Court and to ensure that the court’s clients access proceedings faster.

HW Kanyange added that the equipment will be installed in court halls and chambers of Judicial Officers. "The modern system of recording and transcribing to ease work of the judicial officers and transcribers," she said.
